1. As the President of the Jordanian Translators’ Association (JTA), with the help of the members of the JTA’s Administrative Board, organized, for the first time in Jordan, the celebrations of the International Translation Day, held on Sept. 29, 1994 under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, at the Royal Cultural Centre, Amman, which included the following activities:
2. Organized a Symposium on Translation entitled “The Many Facets of Translation”
3. Organized a book show, in which all bootranslated by Jordanian translators were exhibited in cooperation with the National Library, Amman on 29/9/1994
4. Marking the International Translation Day, held on Sept. 29, 1997 and October 7, 1999. Activities as in 13.1 above (organizer of the activity)
5. As the president of the JTA, I have chaired all the meetings of the Administrative Board and the meetings of the General Assembly (from November 1993-Now)

As it is shown in the data given above, I have contributed the following to the Translation Field:

1. Writing, editing, or translating twenty books on Translation could be considered as a genuine addition to the field of Translation.
2. Twenty three papers on Translation were published or accepted for publication in international journals.
3. Two papers were published in the proceedings of International Conferences.
4. Contributed in twenty three national & international conferences and seminars on Translation and Linguistics.
5. Writing a large number of radio programmes scripts during the last ten years.
6. Teaching more than 70 university courses in the fields of Translation and English Language for both graduates and undergraduates at six universities.
7. Supervising twenty M. A. Theses in Translation as well as participating in the examination of thirty five M. A. Theses in Translation.
8. Academic and professional affiliation in more than nine institutions and organizations.
9. Holding a membership of eight refereed international journals.
10. Participating in a large number of university, national and international Committees.
11. Teaching a large number of English courses and presenting a number of public talks on Translation as part of the community service.
12. Participating on seven Special Accreditation Committees (English Laugauge) of seven private universities as well as on planning courses for the English departments at a number of Jordanian Private Universities. Also contributed to the activities of the Ministry of Culture.
13. During 1997/1998, served as the Dean of Student Affairs and the Chairman of the English Department at Irbid National University.
14. Organizing conferences and symposiums of the Jordanian Translators’ Association and the League of the Arab Private Universities.
15. Included in the American Biographical Institute’s Sixth Edition of FIVE HUNDRED LEADERS of Influence, 1997 & in INTERNATIONAL WHO’S WHO IN TRANSLATION AND TERMINOLOGY, 1995.
